Steve graduated from Ball State University in 1968 with a BS degree, accounting major. Experiencing life has been a goal, he spent the next 6 years traveling, skiing, and working part time as required to fund his lifestyle, ending with joining a Christian ministry in Hawaii as a volunteer for 18 months where he met his wife.
Steve Landis has over 45 years of experience practicing Public Accounting, specializing in tax and financial planning for individuals and small businesses. He has started two successful CPA firms in his career. The firms were eventually sold and continue to be successful to this day. Steve became a licensed CPA in 1980 in Indiana. He was in the first class to pass the exam and experience requirements for the Accredited Financial Planning Specialist (APFS) in Colorado in 1986. The AICPA later adopted the exam with and renamed it the Personal Financial Specialist designation (PFS) in 1987.
Steve studied 12 courses through the American College to receive the coveted Chartered Financial Consultant (CHFC), and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designations.
Steve has enjoyed working with individuals and businesses to help them achieve their financial goals. We all have a purpose in life, this has been one of his. Steve is also an avid sailor, having sailed in many parts of the world.
